Chengqi Tower was built in 1709 during the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty. It is a four-story circular earthen building with a diameter of 62 meters and a total of 72 rooms. After 83 years of hard work by three generations, this huge city of the Jiang family was finally completed in the 48th year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty. When the outer earthen wall of the building was being rammed down, the weather was favorable. It was sunny all the time when the wall was being rammed down. It didn't rain until water came out of the lower wall beam. The people of Chengqi Building were moved by the help of heaven, so they also called Chengqi Building "Heavenly Assistance Building". In 1981, Chengqi Tower was included in the Dictionary of famous scenic spots in China and was known as the "King of Tulou", shining brightly along with other famous scenic spots in China such as the Temple of Heaven in Beijing and the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang.
